of the biggest names in British theatre having taken the lead role in
a number of acclaimed West End repertory theatre musical production.
Titles have included Oliver, The Goodbye Girl, to Copacabana and Carmen
Jones.
Gary
Wilmot was born in South London and started off as a comedian doing
various impressions of famous people. His most remarkable was his take
on Norman Wisdom as the gump. luckily for gary this lead to him winning
New faces talent show. He stole the show again when he performed at
the Royal Variety Performance in 1985.
In
1989, when his celebrity status was at a peak, Gary changed his career
direction and moved to the stage.

Gary
was 6 when his father died sites him as the source for his inspiration
and qualities. His father came from Jamica on the Empire Windrush.
