Thandie Newton is most probably one of the most unigue actresses hailing from Britain. Born in 1972 in Zambia, to a Zimbabwean mother and British father. She spent some time in Australia before becomming a UK national. With stunning looks, Thandie has starred alongside Nicole Kidman, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Cruise and the late Tupac Shakur.

She first shot to fame in the 1991 film Flirting. This hit movie also starred a virtually unknown Nicole Kidman. Since then her career has climbed to the grasps of Hollywood where she has starred in Interview With The Vampire(1994), Jefferson In Paris (1995), Gridlocked (1997), and Beloved(1998) where she played the ghostly daughter to Oprah Winfreys character. Unfortynately Beloved wasn't a major hit at the box office but earned her portential to play Tom Cruises love interest in the box office hit, Mission Impossible 2(2000)

Thandie Newton is an international star in her own right, who is more suited to playing sophisticated roles that match her super model looks.
