FIRST BLACK MODEL ON FRENCH VOGUE

Naomi Campbell was born in Streatham south London, in 1970 to single mother, and dancer,Valerie Campbell. She never knew her father. He left her mother before she was born.

Valerie encouraged Naomi to spread her wings from an early age and sent her to the Italian Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. All things were to change At the age of 15 when, whilst shopping in Covent Garden central London, she was talent spotted by a model scout. This was the pivotal point that opened the door to her career. And At the age of 19 Naomi made her debut as the first black woman to grace the cover of French Vogue. Naomi has broken new ground and debuted in films and made numerous music videos, released her own musical recording and co authored a novel SWAN. She earns well over £1 million a year and even has her own wax work at London's Madame Tussaud's museum.

Naomi is always headline news and has never been out of the papers. She is well known for her engagements with stars such as Adam Clayton of U2 band, Robert De Niro, Mike Tyson, Puff Daddy (P. Diddy), Joseph Fiennes and Spanish flamenco dancer Joaquin Cortes. She is said to be dating owner of Cirque du Soleil Guy Lalilberte. Naomi sites some of her best friends as Lenny Kravitz, Leonardo Decaprio, and girl friends she grew up with.
Unfortunately Naomi is less known for her generous humanitarian work for such causes as The Red Cross Somalia Relief Fund and UNESCO.

Naomi is hailed as the first black super model of Britain.
