AUDLEY
HARRISON Boxer
One
of the most highly publicised British Boxers on the World Scene at the
moment. Audley is destined to become a future world Champion.
Born
in London, 26th October 1971, Audley had an impressive amateur record
of 46 wins, and only eight defeats. His best moment was winning the
Olympic Super Heavyweight gold medal at Sydney 2000.
His success since winning his Olympic gold medal has been blighted in
the press due to an array of lackluster opponents. However Audley has
an excellent record of 17 wins, 0 defeats and 1l of those wins by stoppages.
His best achievements so far since turning professional was winning
the WBF title, a little known federation body, by stopping Rachel Hersisa
inside four rounds.
Audley’s much anticipated fight with Matt Skelton is also off
the agenda due to a contract dispute. However in a wide-open division
Audley could well be challenging for a respected version, (WBA, IBF,
WBC, WBO) of the world title very soon. Audley’s southpaw stance,
huge frame and awkwardness would give the current crop of heavyweight
prospects a lot of problems.
Audley is a very well educated boxer who runs his own promotion company
A-Force. Audley also donates generously to charities.
His sacrifices to become Olympic Champion and his positive out look
on life have made him a positive role model in the black Community.
